General Questions

There are many questions that clients ask us about the services that we provide. Listed below are a few of the frequent questions that prospective clients ask us about our company and what to expect from our close protection officers or bodyguards.

Do I need a bodyguard or close protection officer?

There are many reasons that a person or company might request a bodyguard or close protection officer. Here are a few common reasons.

  • Celebrities and high profile individuals that have stalkers.
  • Business or corporate executives that are at high risk of kidnapping.
  • Children or spouses of high profile individuals are at a great risk of kidnapping.
  • Individuals that are at great risk to terrorist attack.

Many clients just want the peace of mind that when they are traveling in Europe, or any other part of the world, they can relax and let us worry about their safety.

What type of training will my close protection officer have?

All of our close protection officers are certified by the German government or are certified by other European governments. In order to be certified all of Golani Security's employees have participated in schools that train individuals for close protection work.

Everyone employed by Golani Security have been fully instructed in Krav Maga for a minimum of 6 months and must pass certification by the owner of the company.

Golani Security is owned by an individual that has over 15 years training, which started in the I.D.F., in the Israeli Krav Maga fighting techniques.

All our close protection officers are also trained in threat and risk assessment, surveillance awareness, search procedures, and conflict management skills.

What about discretion?

Golani Security close protection teams operate with discretion and a very low profile. Our close protection officers or bodyguards blend into the background so that they do not interfere with your personal conversations or personal space. Our aim is to protect the rights of the Principal's environment according to his/her wishes.

The close involvement of the Principal with the coordination of their day is of course obligatory in high risk for a close protection detail.

We try to not hamper your normal daily routine, whether it is at the boardroom or your private dwelling.

What is the work of a close protection officer?

A few very basic things that your close protection officer will do are:

  • Protect you, as the principal, from threats of physical violence.
  • Check and make sure your premises, such as hotels, restaurants and theaters, are secure before your arrival.
  • Accompanying you or your family on business and social trips.
  • Depending of the number of people in the team, we will drive you, the principal, to and from venues. We will also use a secure chauffeur service, that provides a professional driver, if the need arises.
  • During our planning we will survey the layout of venues or your work place, noting potential hazards and exposure to risks.
  • Route planning.
  • Screening of individuals that may pose a threat.
